Working within tight deadlines, I was responsible for researching each honoree, reviewing archival footage and interviews, and identifying the most compelling moments to build concise, approximately 60-second stories.

The editing process involved sourcing and organizing archival material, cleaning up audio from original footage, structuring narratives, and incorporating music, captions, and subtle motion graphics.

With each honoree coming from a different background, the challenge was maintaining a consistent visual identity and storytelling quality across the series while adapting the pacing and tone to each individual.

The focus wasn't on flashy effects, but on clear storytelling, polished execution, and consistency across multiple deliverables.

THE EDITORIAL PROCESS

  1. 01 / RESEARCH & ARCHIVAL FOOTAGE

    Researching each honoree's background, reviewing interviews, and sourcing relevant archival footage to identify the moments that best communicate their achievements.

  2. 02 / STORY DEVELOPMENT

    Condensing extensive material into focused, approximately 60-second narratives while preserving the most important details of each person's journey.

  3. 03 / AUDIO CLEANUP & SOUND DESIGN

    Cleaning up original footage audio, balancing dialogue and music, and ensuring the sound remains clear and consistent throughout each edit.

  4. 04 / VISUAL CONSISTENCY

    Maintaining consistent typography, captions, transitions, and branding across the series, using restrained motion graphics that support rather than distract from the story.

  5. 05 / TIGHT TURNAROUNDS

    Managing research, editing, revisions, and final delivery within short production windows while maintaining consistent quality across multiple videos.
