Spec Commercial

01 · THE FILM

02 · THE APPROACH

40+ clips.
One story.

This spec commercial started with a simple challenge: creating one cohesive story from more than 40 clips captured across different locations, subjects, and perspectives.

I developed the concept and script, then shaped the final commercial through shot selection, sequencing, pacing, music, voiceover, and sound design.

03 · THE MUSIC

BUILT AROUND
THE MUSIC.

One of my key creative decisions was using "Please Mr. Postman" by The Marvelettes (1961). Beyond its natural connection to USPS, the song helped establish the commercial's rhythm and personality.

The challenge was blending the music with the voiceover, making sure the lyrics complemented the narration rather than competing with it. I paid close attention to timing, music levels, and the placement of vocal phrases so the song could support the story without overpowering the message.
